The Fraser Coast Marine Industrial Park is a joint initiative of the Maryborough City Council, the Queensland Government through the Department of State Development, and the private sector and capitalises on the region’s engineering expertise and rich maritime history.

 

The 200-hectare development located on the banks of the Mary River provides world-class facilities for the manufacture of boats and light ships, marine components, the repair of vessels and the provision of a broad range of marine services.

 

Maryborough Investments Pty Ltd have been selected by Maryborough City Council to develop this exciting project.

 

Specific advantages include:

Port Maryborough has well-established marine infrastructure and the advantage of an existing highly technical workforce trained to international standards with integrated TAFE facilities and courses available.

 

Land is now available for sale or lease for marine related industries.

I applaud the initiative by the Council's and State Development to promote the qualities and commercial opportunities in this area through the Fraser Coast Enterprise Zone concept.
