Public notification of amendments to the planning schemes for the former Maryborough City, Woocoo Shire, Tiaro Shire (as administered by FCRC) and Hervey Bay City to include Priority Infrastructure Plans (PIPs) and reflect PSP No.16 – Development Manual was undertaken between 21 October and 2 December. 

At its Ordinary Meeting held on 14 December 2011, Council endorsed the draft Priority Infrastructure Plan's for the second State interest review, subject to minor amendments in response to submissions received during the public notification period.  The draft PIPs were sent to the Minister for the Second State Interest Check on 24 December 2011.

It is anticipated that Ministerial approval to adopt the amendments will be received during the first quarter of 2012, enabling the amendments to take effect there-after.
