Fraser Coast Streetscape Scheme
The Fraser Coast Streetscape Scheme aims to increase activity in local shopping centre and CBD precincts by making places more attractive and inviting and ensuring universal access for everyone.
Fraser Coast Regional Council is encouraging building owners and business operators to apply for financial assistance to:
- upgrade the appearance of building facades; and
- improve the accessibility of premises
Under the program small businesses, which employ fewer than 20 people, will be able to apply for grants up to $1,500; and $2,500 if the property is listed on Council’s Local Heritage Register.
The grants are on a dollar for dollar basis and will not exceed 50% of the total cost of the approved works.
The Grant program is currently on offer on a case by case basis with an approval process based on merit and will cover businesses in the main street of Tiaro and Howard and defined areas of the Maryborough CBD and precincts of Pialba, Scarness, Torquay and Urangan in Hervey Bay.
